MASSAGE / CURANDERISMO: BODY WORK, LIMPIAS & RITUAL

Massage: The Tlawayo massage is a strong deep tissue massage. It is warming, energising and restorative. Tlawayo means, the heart generated by the Earth.

Other aspects that a full treatment can incorporate:

Limpia: A cleansing treatment over the body using fresh herbs, flowers, and often other natural remedies. It's a very powerful (and enjoyable!) energetic clean up and can help you clear or change thought patterns, and re-focus on intentions. Watch a video here

Susto treatment: For shock. Susto is Spanish for “fright'“ - in this context a treatment helps you balance a recent trauma that has affected your energy or spirit. For strong past experiences, strong emotions or after something invasive (like surgery) another treatment might be suggested called Cura de Alma which also brings harmony back to the body.  Both are gentle to receive, and involve a combination of song and ceremony.

The connection to plants are an integral part of this beautiful work. In each treatment a special relationship with them will be forged and you will be encouraged to work with them after.

I have trained with Curandera Miahuatzin Yvonne Buendia from San Juan Tecalco Mexico since 2004, occasionally she visits the UK if you are interested in a treatment by her as well. I also work with the Danza de la Luna (moondance) in Austria and Mexico, so please do ask for details.

Costs:

• £90-£120 full treatment ~ sliding scale according to you circumstances

• £75 ~ current concession offered for Dartmoor based treatments*

• £55 ~ limpias only (without massage)

* Because of the cost of living I have offered an additional concession for those coming for a treatment in Dartmoor, Devon.

London home visits: costs are £120 (£90 concession) due to travel time and parking.

Treatments last approx. 90mins but can be 1hr-2hrs depending on circumstances.
