At the heart of my practice is an exploration into the technology of offerings.

My images become a body of research and lead me to develop an offering using image, sculpture, ritual or live art, a creative act which can invite others to participate. Sometimes it will be private.

For me it's a way to counter ecological collapse,​ align with unseen forces and offer up my devotion. I’m deeply affected by loss and injustice but less interested in expressing crisis without a solution for restoration. ​Guided by ancestral traditions​, dreams and a fascination with natural physics​ I ​draw in situ, responding to somatic perceptions, taking time to observe and listen directly from nature. The work is not symbolic; the technology of an offering is about functionality and amplifying​ the right conditions​ in already intelligent systems.

My current research focuses on ocean ​conservation in Marine Protected Areas and​ the dead zones resulting from industrial fishing. This year I undertook ​art residencies​ in Bahia, Brazil​ with 0101 Art Platform, understanding the context of Afro-Brazilian ritual practices surrounding the ​sea, and with the Ocean Advocate Academy in the UK to create work intended to inspire citizen science. Both have deepened my enquiry, informing a body of work conceived as a gift to the Ocean.
